Our last stop has been Gatlinburg, TN. We enjoyed our visit to the Dixie Stampede and Dollywood. Jim looked all over the place, high and low but never saw Dolly! We ran into the Compton's from Lexington who happened to be here too. We enjoyed having dinner together with Ben, Suzanne, Charlie and Nancy. It was nice to have friends to enjoy a meal with again.

It will be wonderful to be back in South Carolina even though there will be lots of changes from ...

through spider webs, past a dodgy trailer park, over fist sized rocks
which could twist an ankle and the Falls ended up to be a township
and maybe a small river area with no obvious waterfall and not a
beautiful place to stop and admire nature. Child whining averted! It
rained a lot all day so we spent time in the RV and activities area
instead. ...

North Carolina Continued

... the clouds closing in and when we left we all dressed for the worse but as we descended we had to stop to strip off as the sun had come back out, it wasn't long though before we hit the edge of the storm and had to put them on again. We were just on the edge of the storm most of the way back so it was not to bad. All ...
