... the hotel which is really pretty. We also watched the Volcano eruption outside The Mirage lake which erupts every evening on the hour, it's an impressive display of lights and fire to music. Among the huge list of things going on during the day we stumbled upon a pride of Lions inside a massive glass pen at the MGM Grand, they looked quite playful as we watched them being stroked by their keepers.

... to relax at the pool on the 10th floor of my hotel.

In the evenings I went to see some shows and they were all one of a kind. I can really recommend to see at least one show in Vegas even though you pay quite a lot for the tickets. But it's really worth it.

So tomorrow I will continue to Los Angeles from where you will here again more stories from me.

... beer and making drinks like they were going out of style. I don't know where she gets the energy to work at that pace but we made sure we left a good tip.

Our number came up very quickly andwe were seated. Wifey and I ordered the combination platter of ribs and chicken. The food came out very quickly and we dug in as we were famished from all the walking and drinking. Oh the meat just fell off that rack of ribs and the barbecue flavor was out of this world ...

... au chocolat, as any good French patisserie should be at this hour. No matter, as we decided to come back here tomorrow morning for breakfast. Even if their pastries turned out to be nowhere near as good as ones made in France, they would still very likely be the best ones you could get anywhere in Las Vegas.

Back to the buffet - the interior is modeled after a cobble-stoned French street. Kind of nice ...

... at least half the crowd was carrying and consuming some kind of alcoholic beverage in brightly colored plastic glasses of varying shapes (Eiffel Tower, footballs, flower vases and the like). The costumes of the Vegas clientel tended to be either shorts/t shirts or wedding attire. I've never seen so many scantily dressed, cleavage laden, and tightly woven women anywhere; and so many high heels ...

... out and moved on. We walked around and around and finally ended up at a set of progressive machines. We had cashed our tickets out, so I stuck $1 into the machine. Marc stuck his $3 in. I ended up with $3 and Marc ended up with just under $12!!! Not bad. So my total was $7 after starting with 5 and marc's was $12 after starting with 5. My theory is if I only used a $5 to play and I won $2 I ...

... collar stuff. Nothing elegant or simple! I didn't want trousers finishing mid-calf ("have they been shrunk in the wash?"), I didn't want a black cardigan with a lace doilie around the neck and I didn't want boots with tassles or a heel that looked like the ace of spades!!
