We got up @ 7:30 pm to make breakfast at 8:30 am. Lovely crepes with eggs & yogurt, bananas, grapes. Had a nice visit with other guests Marty & Bruce & then headed off to town to wander up & down Main street. Lots of nice little shops to look in. We had lunch in the City bakery on the back deck. Nice day today. Headed off after lunch on hwy #276 to get onto & drive a loop of the Blueridge Parkway. Stopped at just about ...

... 318 curves in 11 miles & again.. a must for motorcyclists & sports cars. We think we would like to drive it but we'll have to see if we can work it into our drive back to Nashville in a few days time. I have now visited all 48 lower states and have only Biscayne Nat. Park in Miami left to visit. Sooo ...

We registered for a tour and had a few minutes to browse the displays before meeting with Ron, our tour guide. Ron was about 6'5", wore bib overalls and a baseball cap, had a white mustache to rival my husband's, and spoke in a beautiful, baritone southern drawl. I could have listened to him talk all day. Ron was ...

... night, in the total darkness, driving down winding roads to find the cabin was quite the challenge! But we managed it nonetheless. The driveway in itself was like being on some sort of daring ride, I hazard to guess as to the gradient of it, I'm surprised the. A made it up there at all! But it did, and we managed to get here ok. After about 20 minutes of being here, Gemma, as is her way, decided to read through all the materials left by the owner. ...
