Although it rained on an off today, we had another great day exploring the park. ... are not able to be released into the wild. Up the track a bit further there's an owl, 2 golden eagles and 3 bald eagles.  One of the bald eagles has neuro damage due to people baiting rats, birds eating the birds and eagles eating the birds. Back onto the bike after our bear and wolf fix and into Yellowstone National Park.  The scenery on the northern loop is very different to where we went yesterday and is quite spectacular:  more huge mountainous and lots ...

... a tree near the road ..got a good pic of him. We did not see any bear, moose or elk ..not for want of trying. We then headed for Cooke City. When we got out of the park ...and stopped at Silvergate for lunch...a small town ..log cabins, general store and cafe. A few bikers turned up for lunch also. The waiter was a bit grumpy .. ... casinos where just a minute before there was nothing but mountains. We ate at a place called the Beartooth cafe which let us eat there even though they were almost closed. The server was very friendly and she described many interesting pictures that the cafe has collected over the years. She showed us a picture that was signed by Hunter S.
