    ... from. We enquired at one but their rates appeared to be quite high - paying for being on the lake front and having access to a spa and Jacuzzi. The hotel we chose was much cheap and the room is huge as is the bed - king size.

    We had a lovely fresh white fish dinner at a little cafe at a fish factory. the fish had been caught this morning and cleaned and prepared out the back. Was a very popular place and some of the diners were known by name.

    Got up this morning and couldn't decide if we would stay another day/night, but we did decide to stay. It was an overcast day and they are predicting some bad weather coming from the west to the east---we'd be driving right into it if we left, so I am glad we are staying another night despite the mosquitos. We learned an important lesson about our GPS- the distance is "as a the crow flies" and what we thought would be 4 miles round trip ended up being almost 7 miles, which would have been fine except that is the furthest Lou had hiked on his new knee. He held up but was tired. Along the way we saw very “rustic” cabins tucked in the woods and bear scat.
