Woohoo! One more sleep and I'm home. Now that I'm close to home I am looking forward to getting there. I am pumped. I know what I must do. The past 3 days of solid driving have been tiring. I haven't driven this much since my first week. Actually, if I would have driven all the way home today the number of kilometres would have been only a bit more than I did the first day. Though there is a difference between driving through Saskatchewan in September and over the Continental Divide in March....
Great Falls, Montana, United States cobra1899... the strip & went to the M&M shop. 4 levels of everything you can think of that has the M&M logo on it, and a massive wall of different coloured M&M's to plonk into a bag & then eat. We also wandered in and out of many different Casino's & were staggered that each seemed busy, but we have been told repeatedly by cabbies that the place is quiet at ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States knipes_usa... 8 hours each riding day (this does not count stops for meals or gasoline, etc). Our longest day was 704 miles from Orono, Maine to Bordentown, New Jersey. That day we were on the road from before 6:00AM and arrived after 8:30PM. This weekend I'll be doing the math to see what we spent on fuel, hotels and other expenses regardless, it was worth it. We had a BLAST and we thank God and you for allowing us to do this.

... as Tegz thought!), steak, swordfish, sushi, and sea bass. We
managed to watch the Bellagio fountains dance to “Viva Las Vegas”
and then headed back to bed, with me dragging Lyn and Io past the
scantily clad girls dancing on the roulette tables to entice punters
into the casino. I've only just realised now we've left Vegas without
us putting even a quarter into a slot machine. Is this a record??
We decided after breakfast to go on the Rollercoaster. Between 11am and noon it was 2/1 costing $7 person. What was I thinking? The rollercoaster goes up a huge hill and then down and then upside down and, well, you get the idea! It was worth $7 but not $14. I guess the $25 all day ride pass would be worth it if you like rollercoasters. The M&M store was across ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States jmoon... the property and looked at the lake. It's a really nice resort without a one-armed bandit in sight!! :) We walked back by the golf course, and DH let Pasha off her leash (something *I* wouldn't have done). But Pasha loved it; she ran like a rocket--and there were no plaid-covered golfers in this wind and cold. The only problem came was when she found a dead bird. EWWWwwwwwwww grrroooooooosss! We had to chase her to get her to drop it. She thought ...
Lake Las Vegas, Nevada, United States kitkatgo... wait for up to 5 minutes at a time. We hopped off at the Luxor Hotel and walked in to look around that Casino and shops, this Casino has a travelator walkway linked to the Excalibur, so we trekked out way through to that one as well. Wandering around this we linked to New York New York and across the road to the MGM. We wanted to check out the lions in the MGM, this proved to be a non go! The lions were not on view because of "enclosure Maintenance" We headed out ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States popusa2008... bison are in abundance and we were stopped on a few occasions by herds of bison crossing the road. Not having any insurance on the rental car and just a few days to go we we're paranoid one would kick out ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States dirkvb... throughout that are very reminiscent of the ones I saw in Rome, which was quite neat. Out front of the shops there is their take on the Trevi Fountain and Winged Victory is near by. Really weird to have seen the real ones in Rome and Paris a few months ago respectively.
Not to be out done, it was time to go to the Venetian to check out Venice again. The outside of the Venetian has Doge's Palace, a smaller Rialto Bridge, and the Campanile. I can ...
