Woohoo! One more sleep and I'm home. Now that I'm close to home I am looking forward to getting there. I am pumped. I know what I must do. The past 3 days of solid driving have been tiring. I haven't driven this much since my first week. Actually, if I would have driven all the way home today the number of kilometres would have been only a bit more than I did the first day. Though there is a difference between driving through Saskatchewan in September and over the Continental Divide in March....
Great Falls, Montana, United States cobra1899... 14. That evening we headed out around 6pm to a variety show which was really good. There were 6acts and each was good with a couple of them amazing. Lauren had hooked us all up with a couple of clubs in the Palms that evening. We had to be there at 10pm and it was $15 for blokes and ladies got in for free with 2 free drinks!!! Hardly fair but that’s how it goes. There were 12 of us in our little group so we decided to get a stretch limo there as it was almost ...

Safe landing back in the dirty jerz and we could smell home instantly.
Coming up next is a few highlights and lowlights of the trip.

Up early after yet another ****** sleep ... thinking everyone was still comatose from last night, I wandered over to the Venetian for breakfast. Why the Venetian? Because it's got a reasonable (by Vegas standards) food court, and it's close by - I really don't want to walk too far just for breakfast, in this nasty desert heat.
Browsed through the Peter Lik gallery - some cool surreal photography, with ...
... a visit! Each one has the most amazing shopping areas which are just like Disneyland but with very high end brand names! The Vennezia looks like the venician canals complete with Bridges and Saint Marks (Is that the right one?) square. Ceasar's Palace has the most amazing statues and fountains right through it and two of the fountains put on a great show on the hour. The Bellagio which is right next to where we stayed has an incredible fountain show. man the water ...

We decided we already wasted today, so we might as well get 2 one-way passes and we'll walk back, because this was ridiculous! So we zip down the monorail to Bally's-Paris stop. It was only, maybe, a 1 minute ride. It was nice. Then we exited the station. Here we go again with the bad signs! We followed the signs to the Strip out through a shopping area, which I ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States aurora813... David: This appeared to be a theme in most of the hotels: long queues and very few staff even though there was a massive reception desk. I can only think that it's done on purpose to make those in the incredibly well staffed and short VIP queues feel like they're getting value for money out of their VIP status.) The Stratosphere was much better. After walking all the way through the deafening Casino to Reception, we were seen immediately and given the key card to a massive room ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States mrsdp... Arriving in Vegas we ran into Penna and H in the airport (couldn't have planned it better). Then we got a cab to our hotel, Tresure island or TI as all the cool kids say! - Vegas is just awesome!!! The first day we explored our hotel and a couple around us. We were pretty tired so we had an fairly early night - We had our first crack at roulette yesterday and Penna won $20. Nice! At first we ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States kwilliamson... I feel that I can handle anything and am currently faced with two young men relying on me to find a room and so far being told that there is no room at any of the numerous hotels on the Strip, or being quoted prices which I can't afford. The additional expense I have incurred today also makes winning big more of a priority, unless anyone would like to purchase a kidney or a lung (other body parts available on request) one hugely irresponsible owner...
