Today, Oscar and I spent a happy hour wandering around a farm museum in Littleton. There were two farms which had been taken down from the local area and reconstructed to show life in 1860 and 1890 - pre and post railroad coming to Colorado.

The weather was hot and it was quite interesting to see the contrast between the two - and the contrast to Manor Farm back home! There ...

Final move in Denver was to Peter’s place. Peter studies journalism and now worked writing articles about the science happening in Antarctica. He had been to Antarctica seven times and was preparing for his eighth! Quite an amazing person. We went out for a ...

Maya's 1st Flight at only 6 weeks old

... takeoff as the sucking helps with the baby's ears when the plane is being pressurized and also she was most likely to fall asleep after eating.

I brought Maya's infant carseat on the flight with me because the flight was wide open enough that she would have her own seat. This is the safest and most convenient way for a baby to fly, but it isn't always an option, and the airlines allow infants to fly on an adult's lap until age two. I still recommend ...
