... br> Arrived at Horseheads at around 3:30pm, met our hosts for the night "Lucy and Corky", very nice people, they had a great spot for us to park and supplied power so we could run the furnace. Believe me we needed it! Damn cold...... We went out for supper with Lucy and Corky and had a great evening, some laughs, good food, great people, we hope to see them again. Thank you ...

... more stop to find Sauders Country Store near the Seneca-Cayuga Canal and Emma seemed to enjoy looking at the goods there. We bought a few more food supplies and I stocked up on muesli for me and granola for Kara. I had thought about getting a pumpkin but forgot until we got outside again and then decided to skip it.

We then headed to the Waterloo thruway exit to find a motel and saw the Holiday Inn sign from the road, checked for room availability and checked in.

... finally achieve the payoff of an amazing section of falls. At the top is Fish Kill Falls which is the home of the first settlement in the county and the gristmill which was constructed in 1839.
