... show Emma some of the beautiful Finger Lakes landscape, especially the hills of vineyards. Unfortunately, the route we took up the east side of Cayuga Lake was devoid of vineyards except for one small patch. We may have ended up seeing another medium patch toward the end, but I was very disappointed. I am not sure Emma shared my disappointment, but I think the Finger Lakes are not as stunning in cool, rainy fall weather with the autumn leaves past their peak.

We packed up our wet tents and awning this morning and headed out of Watkins Glen. Luckily the rain had stopped, although there was some fog in the campground ( and later on the road) so I t was not too bad to pack. ... as there was no separate sidecar class. Three of the classes were won by sidecars, yeah! After the bike show it was dinner time and tonight they offered a pork roast with new potatoes, salad, and mixed trees and yellow squash. Really well done for a rally meal.
