Jungle river cruise and Lamanai ruins

Where is everyone?
On the cayes is the answer! After our fairly haphazard border crossing from Mexico we arrived in Orange Walk on our "chicken bus" which is basically a bus that anyone/anything can get on...including chickens !! After a fairly hot 4 hours or so we staggered off the bus in Orange Walk and immediately saw our connecting bus heading to Belize City getting ready to leave. A temple and a fishing village
... if you go at the right time. Our trip there was mid morning which probably wasn't the best time. Only spent two nights there and can't be bothered to write anything else about it since it was pretty forgettable. But it is a very pretty village with decent views across the water at sunset.
And don't try and hunt down manitees in a kayak for 2 hours at dusk as you won't find any. On second thought you probably will - I've just been unlucky with my nature hunts so far.

Jungle is sooo good!
... into the Tropic departure lounge (a Hut), and got handed 2 pieces of card with "Boarding Card" written in big letters, these were a good 10 inches by 4 inches, so we weren't likely to loose them. We sat and waited for our flight to be called while watching the end of the Spain Switzerland game. ( that was quite a result)
