... Night time in Banaue is pretty tame so we had a quiet dinner and crashed in bed before 9pm. We had an 8am departure the next morning to visit the most famous town in the area, Batad. ... Park opened in 1888 and was named for Lord Frederick Stanley, Governor General of Canada in 1888 (also the Stanley Cup named for him).

The Seawall that goes all the way around the park (5.5 miles) was built from 1917-1980! It is quite fantastic and has two lanes, one for bikes only and one for walker only and apparently, non the twain shall meet or there will be words!! Also if the bikers decide to use the road ...

... I need extra support. Not an uncommon condition. He gave me four or five pairs of trainers to try and I happily jogged around and around the block testing them out. A proper road test! I eventually settled on a pair and was once again caught out by the tax thing. They ended up being about #100 GBP. I don't really know where I'm going to put them either. The backpack is full!
