I only have enough Canadian money for porter tips tomorrow so I asked the gas guy if he took American money and he said "sure" so I handed him $60 to cover the full-up.     ... as I find out every time I leave my room, let alone the hotel!
    Never fear parents! I have remedied the situation and I now have a handy, excessively large, uber-touristy map... and a compass, because people here seem to like saying 'head East' or 'just keep going North missy' I try not to point out just how unhelpful these directions are.

    Our one full day in Vancouver had us meet up with Bob and Gay for a bike ride in perfect conditions. We started with an 8km ride around Stanley Park. The park follows the water line and was full of walkers, runners, rollerbladers and very annoying bike riders!     ... it was very interesting... Once again made more so by the man who did a guided tour..
