The city has an underground shopping district and like Calgary they have tubes that connect the building so you can walk through the city without going outdoors as it gets up to C-40o in winter. This winter past started in October and finished in April so they were quite over it by the end. We have a new passenger next to us and she lives 2 hours south of Winnipeg so its been interesting talking with her.

Afterward we headed to the Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Gardens. Wandered through with a guide (who was... interesting...). It was altogether a very relaxing day.
