After crossing the Ohio river to West Virginia the road continued very crooked, but now it was climbing and falling as well. I was not sure I would ever make it to Uniontown, ...

Hocking Hills is near Logan, Ohio. The trip from Peoria to this area was flat and straight across the state. Arriving on the edge of Wayne National Forest I stopped at a Visitors center and picked up a map of the are. This is an amazing area with a wonderful story. The trail between Ash Cave and Old Man's cave is called the Grandma Gatewood Trail. She was quite the gal.

It was a little difficult in the places that don't get cleared but it made for an interesting walk anyway, seeing the town in a different season. Unfortunately, my delay in Dallas meant we only had one night at home to relax before our trip to Amish ...

... a lengthy hibernation, in May I took my motorcycle safety course and had my license 48 hours later. Long story short, from May to Sept. I gathered roughly 500 miles of experience riding around town including a 200 mile trip thru Hocking Hills. Never in the rain, wind, or dark of night I have convinced myself I’m ready for a 5000 mile journey across the United Sates and there was no looking back. Somewhere ...
