... that we'd parked under an apple tree... Brenda had to do 4 loads of laundry before we could leave Greenville, ($16 worth of quarters) but that gave us time to get a great blueberry pie at the church bazaar. Maine blueberries are the best, quite small and full of flavor. We're now about fifty miles out of Bangor and will check it out tomorrow. today's drive down here was on beautiful country roads, some being lanes at best. Just lovely country, quinticentially ...
... especially at our campground. we saw christmas decorations on some of the sites here and i at first was pretty judgemental and laughed and thought the whole thing was tacky, but than i read about christmas in july. even the camp hosts are putting up decorations! what a hoot. now, i think it's pretty fun!! we love it here and hate to leave, but we have been waiting two months to get to the coast. so, here we go!
... area. There is a beautiful state park in this area. We were looking for moose in the fog and attempting to find the trails the Moose safaris take. To no avail. I am sure there are no moose in Maine.
It is cold so I think it is time for Chili. Will warm the innards. This is truly beautiful country. Will sleep for another day.
Another busy week. It was a long weekend. Friday night I had friends come over.
We had drinks and played board games, how fun!!! Even better after a few drinks.
My friend from Montenegro was here and wanted to drink. We ended up at the local pub to 2:00am. I was about to call a cab home, when the 'rage' bus pulled up with a 20 year old hippie with a beard and loud music. He ended up giving us a lift back home! Yay we did not have to pay for a taxi. It's starting to get really, really cold here! Today I forgot to put gloves on when riding to school and my oh my my hands practically fell off!!!
Anyway Jordan left to Boston on Wednesday. He was staying there for one night, than flying to LA, than to Vancouver. He has arrived safely and I have not heard from him since he landed.
He must be having a great time catching up with his friends and exploring! ...
