    After our stay in West Yellowstone, we got on the gas pedal pretty good. Passed some historic mining areas in western Montana and Idaho, and had to go up, up, up, again over Homestake Pass, at 9,600 feet, and through the granite canyons known as the Boulder Batholith, a huge formation that stretches from Butte up to Helena, Montana.     ... was all covered with prickles of bug splats again! (But not as badly as before.) Thus, the "June bugs!" I guess tomorrow's bug splats will be July bugs!
