      Rustic but good

We stayed a week at Carlitos which was recommended by a friend. It is on the windy side of the island which is much cooler that the other side. The town is on the other side but I was happy for the breeze. Carlito is a very nice man whose family is one of the original settlers of the island. He and the staff were very pleasant and while the cabins are pretty basic they were cheap and comfortable.

Even though we did not do a lot of things on the island, the one thing we actually did was definitely an amazing experience. Together with Claudia – a very nice Dutch girl we’ve met in Esteli and who’s likely going to travel with us until she goes home to the Netherlands ...

I helped some island newbies aquire various island foods includinf fresh fish and made a joint dinner with some travellers. Lotta people to talk to now which is good. Think I finished 7 books now since I got ...

Mom saw a huge gray crab under one of the tables and dad decided not to pick that one up but we got a picture of it. We went to bed around 10 o'clock and had another wonderful nights ...

... of the heat and probably allergies. Prescribed me a nasal decongestant, antihistamines, saline nasal drops, and vit c. The wide range of meds did not inspire confidence but he said it should be healed over in 5-7 days of non use. I left and took the panga back. 7-10 days no diving is the Rx. Not fun. What does this mean for making diving a career? I had 28 dives with no issue, that gives me some hope. I am really curious to see if my nose will heal completely with the ...
