Yesterday me and some girls went to the city, first we took a little tour around with the citycat ferry, it was really nice! felt good with a little breeze in the very hot sunshine. After that we went to see the movie 'up'. And it was adorable :D though it got reeeally cold in the movie theater, a bit too much airconditioning maybe? aah well as we say in ...

... a 3'' cockroach hanging out on the wall of our hostel room. Daved chased it around for 20 minutes before managing to smash it with a magazine, amid several swear words. I squealed in the corner throughout the process and woke up paranoid several times during the night. I HATE BUGS!

July 11th, 1 pm: Booked my tour of the Whitsundays with Amber today. Easter Down Under

... of choice - a can of ready prepared Jim Beam and coke -yes - can all you Irish folk believe that - every possible short and mixer can be purchased pre mixed in a can over here - I tried Bundaberg Rum and ginger against all my instincts while on the beach on Easter Sunday - most unusual - but I wasn't spitting it out. Crikey!

... the Eastern states apart from Queensland, which doesn't have daylight saving so in fact it was one hour earlier in Brisbane. Still at least we had time for a leisurely breakfast and were ready in plenty of time to meet Bryce and Kate! We got up to the Zoo in pretty good time and once we were in we went straight to the 'Crococeum' to watch the daily wildlife show of elephants, birds, snakes and culminating in a huge saltwater ...

Another Day in Brisbane

... left at 7:45am... so we took a taxi to the bus station (as we learned on our first day, it is not a good idea to walk with all of our luggage to the Roma St. Station!) We saw Taylor there, since her bus left at 7:30. Poor girl... she doesn't even get to live on the coast and has no friends out there. Our bus ride was 5 hours and 25 minutes long... it wasn't too bad, but it was fairly busy so we didn't always have seats to ourselves. Lisa sat with ...
