This park is the most centrally located of any of the campgrounds near Moab. It is a short walk down the main drag. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

Good base camp for Moab but pricey

    Reviewed Jul 11, 2011

This place is just a half mile from downtown Moab with plenty of shade trees around. The Wi-Fi works pretty good. However, at $44 a night it is pricey - they charge a hotel tax which adds to the bill.

We arrive as usual with no issues. The ride here took us
through some very narrow passes where we had very steep cliffs on both sides.
At little bit of vertigo, but if you continue knitting and don’t look down your
    fine.

The drive is not too long. The scenery is pretty much the
same; red rocks with nice …

    Canyonlands

A travel blog entry by amygates on Sep 18, 2014

We were away at 7:30 to drive towards Moab. We had a picnic lunch at Dead Horse Point which was incredible, we were at the top of a canyon looking down at the river at the bottom, with huge rock walls, some shaped like spires, with layers of colour in the rock, I'd never seen anything like it. Then we went into Canyonlands National Park and did a …

    Mystical Moab Country

We had heard numerous times that we must go to Moab but couldn't clearly tell you why. It took a couple of days to find out. We arrived in the small (just over 5,000) resort town situated in the middle of a dry, rocky terrain. The town seemed somewhat nondescript, but what made it stand out were all the outdoor adventure companies that line the …
