Unfortunately there are only 18 cars on the track this weekend as the two smallest teams have gone into administration and are not appearing at this race which is shame. Because of this qualifying runs slightly differently with only 4 cars being lost from each of the first 2 rounds. The cars are really fast up the hill past us but nowhere near as noisy as when we saw a race eight years ago, we didn't need our earplugs today at all. The Mercedes dominate ...

... States 13.5 months later. Our plan is to homeschool our two children around the world, traveling to 35 countries along the way. Sounds unreal, doesn't it…! ... after all of the eating and sitting. Lady Bird lake is a real treat. Apparently it was a pet project of the first lady and she worked really hard to get the shoreline stabilized so that it could be used year round as a walking trail.

... and out, and it has good amenities. The surprising thing, though, is it really didn't seem that loud for a stadium with 100,000+ people yelling at critical parts of the game. Rating - 8 of 10.

... the flight to LA had told us about, where at sunrise every night over a million bats fly out from under the bridge to go hunting for insects. We were desperate to see the bat cloud, so we got to the bridge just as the sun was setting about 8pm to get a spot on the bridge. An hour or so later and still no sign of bats, it was starting to get dark and we were thinking we wouldn't see them even if they made an appearance! They did come out eventually, but it was too dark ...
