Great if you can get a campsite.

A lovely campground, with a lot of activities for campers that are staying for a long time. It is right on the Bay and an easy bus ride to the centre of the city. All that they had free were spots in the parking lot with a picnic table, near a washroom, and with a view of the Bay. It cost $60 a night! Expensive, but it was very easy to get into San Diego using public transit and it was very clean.

This is a beautiful campground with lots of amenities and well laid out with a beautiful view if you pay extra. We had the bay view but as we didn't have a rear window you could only see a bit of the bay from the side window so at $100 a night it was quite expensive. It was a shame that our stay was spoiled by someone stealing our water pipe when we were not there however I cannot fault the staff who apologised and promptly replaced it free of charge. Also forgot to say wifi is a bit patchy throughout our stay

Arrived in San Diago Monday afternoon from Coachella and camped the night at Campland on the Bay near Mission Beach. $20 a night each for one night which was expensive but we just wanted to shower, wash our clothes and chill in the hot tub. We set up a campfire and the girls cooked a beautiful snags and salad dinner using our gas burner. We met …

For those I have not caught up with in a while, I am heading on a six month RV trip around the Americas. San Diego to Alaska to Maine to Florida and back to San Diego. Going to see the sights, family, and friends along the way.

I bought my RV, a 37ft 2010 Jayco Seneca HD, in February in Northern California and brought it down to San Diego …

We packed up and hit the I-5 south to legoland in Carlsbad. This was our first real freeway experience in the camper and an experience it was! Christchurch roads prepared us well for the bumps but once we figured out that the annoying rattle was just the cutlery drawer we were set. We followed dad's policy of picking a lane and sticking to it and …

Woke up this morning to the news saying that the wild fires were still raging - we feel so terrible for all those people who have lost their homes. We drove down to SeaWorld today, only to find it was closed and not likely to open tomorrow either - a bit disappointing, but understandably not a major deal considering what is going on around us.
