(yep - off the shelf), palace, church and a huge race track where they do trials (we could hear them in the background). It was like a rabbit warren in a way, but going up instead of down.

We went for an early morning walk to see the sunrise the next day. It was magnificent!

... we were glad when we arrived in Rimini.

It rained the first few days we were here, but the past 2 days of sunshine have made up for it! Our hostel has great rooms but a really awful atmosphere, so we were so glad when the sun came out and we could spend all day at the beach, or in the town. Relaxing in the sun is just what we've needed! I'm still embarrassingly white though. I'd even call it offensively white. It's going to take more than 2 days of sun to bring me even to human ...

... space which is quite workable! It came with a Camper Burner to cook stuff on and boil water! It also came with a set of cutlery and plates and stuff! We even have a wine opener if we feel like getting festive! In the middle of the van is the storage and the mattress which is surprisingly comfortable! We stopped at IKEA and got a big Duvet and some pillows! We have only slept in it one night so far but it seems like we will defiantly enjoy it in here!

We got to Rimini later that night after Pompeii. It was another 6 hour drive so again we were exhausted. We checked into the hotel and it was perfect. Nicer than the last one we were at. We had booked in advance for the night and the rate was 30eros cheaper than the next night so we (I) thought we would just get there and tell them we wanted another night at the same price. Unfortunately they played me harder than I played them and said they had no availability ...

Ravenna was somewhere Matt had insisted we visit, so I included it as a day trip in our packed itinerary. Little did I realise this would be the highlight of our trip. Ravenna is possibly the only place on earth where you can visit 8 UN World Heritage sites in less than a day (although we unfortunately only managed 7, as one was closed for renovations).

... seaside town - known for gorgeous sights/views. Once we got to Rapello we went to the Port and chartered a ferry to Portofino. It took ½ an hour by boat. Today was the first day that we had a little rain on the boat. We were all sitting up top of the boat - singing songs from the Titanic, getting Italian lessons, having fake weddings and doing model run way walks. It was a fun/silly bonding boat trip together. Le cose pił belle sono successe in questo viaggio. Ho conosciuto gente dal tutto il mondo e ho fatto amici veramente di cuore. Al corso italiano che andavo ho conosciuto l'amore della mia vita e la persona migliore per girare il mondo. Ho cominciato a viaggiare molto purtoppo finora solo in Europa ma con la intenzione di andare dappertutto.
