... we have strayed into a naturist colony. I guess we shouldn't be surprised this being the Istrian peninsular, which is famous for such behaviour.

There are some sights that are best not seen! Fat German matrons wobbling down to the water counts as one of them. But there are, as you might say, compensations. It's a strange world.

... I've barely had them before Motovun. Every meal included truffles. I had truffles and chicken, truffles and pasta and even truffle soup. My mouth literally waters when I think back on the food I ate there. Damn. Also, my trip to Europe has allowed me to discover a love for red wine, which makes me feel more mature than usual. Finally becoming a vino expert I'd like to think ahah. Did some fun things like shopping for wine and truffles, and also visited the film ...

... of spiral stairs with our bags to work out she was not our landlady, down 1 flight of spiral stairs to our apartment - no reply. Left heavy bags in alcove& went across the road to Charlie Bar. Very hot & sweaty by now & in dire need of a beer. Stephen thought this would be a good place to view the apartment door. Couldn't get anyone by phone as we have had a few global roaming problems.

Next day took a bus tour with commentary - Pula occupied by Romans & Austro -Hungarian Empire & their influences are obvious. Roman ruins are everywhere, even playgrounds, street names-eg Via Flavia . Austro- Hungarian development of port, villas, workers accommodation, churches & very stately buildings. Further out ...

Perfect day

Today was the perfect day! This is what Croatia is all about: taking a boat, seeing the coast from the sea side, swimming in caves, swimming along the rocks watching fish and other animals in the sea, enjoying the beautiful coast from the sea side,... OMG I love Croatia!! Afterwards we went to the beach where we enjoyed the sun on our skin. In the evening we went to the same restaurant in Pula as a few days ago. Then it was time to sleep as tomorrow our journey back home ...
