    ... interesting about settlement of the area, education and agricultral a hievemenfs.
    Cold chicken and salad for dinner. Sitting around an outside table with an American couple from Florida and 18 cyclist from Holland who had done their 200km bike ride for the day.
    Walked home from jen and graham's about 1km up the pitch black road and collapse into bed.
    Did my blog, couldn't let my followers down.

    ... rocks, bushes etc to transverse.
    Of course we were prepared NOT! It had been hot and sunny when we left.
    It was cool, but ok until we got to the lac, 1770 metres above sea level and the breeze was not hot.
    After checking out the shepherds hut, the temperature of the water and the dark clouds we decided to descend.
    I was freezing in my polo shirt and shorts.

    ... keeping myself alive throughout this trip. On the other hand, Sergiu was fine, actually enjoying the rally:) I am glad that at least one of us was... ALIVE.

    We have finally arrived at my favourite first stop, the beach. Yes, now I am fine and happy:). After couple of hrs, we left for Calvi which was only 12 km way from Algajola, our next destination where we had accommodations.

    ... sauce. I had the Carpaccio, duck Confit salad with the grilled lobster tail for dinner. Dessert was the best I've ever had. A great soufflé with a hot whisky sauce that tasted like a zabaglione. Jamie had the brandy and camembert mouse with fig. We ordered a very nice pinot noir off the special wine list for Jamie's birthday.


    After dinner with had drinks in the Club. A sauterne and a Jameson neat.

    OMG, what a dismal grey beginning, and even end to this day in Bastia, at Port Toga. The rains deluged us in the early morning hours, and never totally stopped all day long. Every time we tried to emerge from below decks, it was only for a moment, before having to make a hasty retreat to the below deck saloon. I must admit, we surfaced long enough to gulp our lunch, and have a few laughs before scurrying below for the remainder of the day. We spent most of the day, studying ...
