... with every bend in the road. We have travelled alot of scenic roads in alot of different countries but we were firmly in agreement that the views on these roads were the best we had ever seen by far. It pretty much combined the best of what we had seen in many other places including, Canada, USA, Mexico, Namibia, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. I have always wanted to drive the Amalfi coast but I have little doubt that I ...

We returned the car, no problems. Eldon had to admit it's so nice to have gotten and returned four rental cars without incidence. He did a great job of driving, he always does. Our room wasn't ready so we walked across the street and sat on a bench over looking the Mediterranean sea. It was gorgeous. We just can't get over the colors of the water. It is so crystal clear. I'll bet the snorkeling is amazing here.

Drive to Ajaccio (2 hr) and onto Corte (1 hr 25 mn) After breakfast at the hotel in Porto, we hauled our suitcases across the arched footbridge over the river and loaded up the car. Rather than continuing to follow the coastal road, we decided to take an alternative route to Ajaccio which took us inland and up into the mountains before heading south to Ajaccio, the ...
