“Peaceful and Serene”
Really enjoyed our couple of days here. Peaceful, small and secluded campsite (we had a tent) with a very nice pool area and a friendly bar/restaurant with great staff. The shop is a little tiny and expensive but you can wander about 20/30mins down the hill (or drive if you are lucky) to a huge supermarket which has everything you could wish for.
The bus from the train station drops you off pretty much right outside the campsite entrance.
Would definitely recommend this for all comers, its not a flat site but Siena is not a flat town so you'll have no more difficulties on the site than you do in the city.

Under the Tuscan Sun
Okay, so our stay in Siena was short and sweet. We were planning to spend some time relaxing here and having a well deserved pool day; however, that didn't really go to plan for us! We arrived in Siena mid-afternoon after our short visit to Orvieto. The sight of our modern and comfortable mobile home was a welcomed relief to our usual house-tents. …
Under the Tuscan sun

For my first plate I had a huge ravioli stuffed with mozeralla and tomatoes with a herb olive oil dressing – fresh …
Post Christmas Stroll
We had both been told that Siena is a definite see while driving through Central Italy, so we decided to make it a stop before heading south. We arrived at the campsite in the evening, after our day at the Uffizi in Florence. We decided to eat at the campsite restaurant which served delicious pizza and desserts at a good price. The campsite was …
Siena, Tuscany - Italy
Hello everyone,
Siena was our first stop in Tuscany. We spent a few nights here and camped just outside the city walls. Siena is a town, almost seemed to be trapped in the olden days, and runs the oldest horse race in the world - The Palio - a race where the only rule is not to pull the horse’s reins, but other than that, the ‘ …
Siena via Orvieto
17 MAY 2010 - This morning we get up early at head down to the reception area at our campsite in Rome just after 7am. We checked out and then thought we are too early as ************e was around. The Busabout bus pulls up at the reception just before 8am. We met our guide and driver and we show our passports and e-ticket. We hop on the bus. Off we …
