Takze v minulom reporte som spominal tajne neplanovane miesto.

Our LAN flight took about 5hours and apart from eating our in-flight meal we slept all the way. We arrived to a very dark Easter Island at 6.30am (we later found out that sunrise is about 8.30am and sunset is 10pm at this time of year – Andrew commented that even Rorie and Emer could make a sunrise here – hehe) and were greeted by the …

I woke up with the sun rising at about 08:00 and got up to start uploading photgraphs before anyone else started using the campsite internet. Erica only awoke at 09:30 and we both probably had about a glass of wine too many last night. Still we got ready and went to drop off the quad. Unfortunately I asked the woman if she could reduce the price …

We woke up to the usual heavenly noises of the large waves breaking across the rocks in front of the tent for our last day full day in Easter Island. We had a slightly different breakfast this morning as we had ..... breakfast, well we shared a yogurt. We bought some more sun cream as we were nearly out and headed off to see a few monuments we had …

Between school work and frequent travels, I have fallen pretty far behind on my blogs. Fortunately, I have a bit of time to catch up. The second weekend in May, I took an incredible trip with two friends to the most remote inhabited island in the world. Easter Island is a part of Chile, over 2,000 miles off the coast. The island can only be …

    Loved it!

We really enjoyed staying here. The weather was great which may have been a reason why we had such a good time (it rained on our last night and that wasn't as great). There are two cooking areas in the huge dining/kitchen area and we never had a problem with room with that or shared bathrooms. Bummer is hot water is limited to morning and evenings but not really a problem. You wake up to 20 foot waves pounding the lava rock just outside your tent. It's incredible. The tents they provide are quite nice.
