Got to Rome just after 9am and then 10am train to Pisa.
Lockers at Pisa station are out of order so lugged my backpack to the leaning tower, took some photos and now slowly making my way back to the station stopping for coffee, food and beer along the way.

Forgot that northern Italy food options were ...

... but I distinguished them from each other by the shifting colors of the sky. Monday the sky hung heavy with a deep purple over all the land. Tuesday the clouds disintigrated burnt by the juicy blood orange rays of the sun. Wednesday, following lunch the sun melted like bubblegum ice cream across the horizon. Each sunset overwhelmed me almost to the point of tears. Each evening Van Gogh seemed to grace the sky with his pastels. The sun melted into ...

A Quicky, Sicky Day Trip To Pisa

... 8217;ai chi-like tourist photos for us, though…). Afterward, we stopped at small sidewalk café for hot tea for both of us (you know Murray is sick when he foregoes beer for tea!), with a view of the tower right in front of us. I also ate some dry biscuits, which seemed to do alright. (Too bad – no "pizza in Pisa" for us, which I have pictures of doing from when I was here with my family several years ago!)

Cinque Terre - yeah yeah

... whatever we wanted from that room... This was at 3pm too, not like we arrived at some weird hour.
The "dorm" was just an apartment with 6 beds in 1 room, a kitchen and 4 beds in the room joined to the kitchen with no door between - check out the photos on facebook.
Glad we booked the cheaper 6 bed dorm and not the more expensive 4 bed!!!
Found out later that day they have another "dorm" downstairs with a 6 bed room and a double bed in ...

Mare Blu, Cecina, Tuscany, Italy No.3

... was free! After our tour guide of Pete Gough Travels led us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, through the streets of Pisa we were all 'wowing' at the sight we saw. The tower is certainly leaning, and next to the cathedral and baptistery, the Piazza simply looked stunning. Jess has not yet grasped the name of the tower, and from now on we shall always call it the 'falling' tower, as she does instead. We did of course take the photos of us trying to push the ...

Nice - Pisa

A Érika tirou as tradicionais fotos empurrando a torre. De manhã mesmo partimos para Florença. No começo da tarde já estávamos prontos para desvendar o berço do Renascentismo. A cidade se visita ...

... with the locals. Btw, the ability to speak English in Italy grants you certain privileges (don't know what they are though) and puts you higher in the social pecking order. But that's the same in any non-English speaking country, right? · Not much fun It's not much fun travelling with someone who is feeling a bit off, and when it lasts for over a week it's really no fun at all. And because of that I have my duties, duties I would have as a ...

Beaches and Towers

So today I got up early and caught a train down to Cinque Terra. Thats a region of Italy that has five small little fishing towns right on these cliffs on the Mediterranean. The train was a good ride, I had a car to myself so I just slept for the 3 hours. I went to La Spezia to transfer, another small town near the Mediterranean, which was kind of nice. Then I went into Corniglia, which is the most ...
