... cafe for lunch. They spoke zero English and I thought I was getting cod and it was smoked ham...oh well tasted good and they had the last lap of the F1.

... in Toulouse. Very heavy police presence both here and Spain yesterday. Stopping trucks at the toll points, very noticeable. I guess there must be risk of copycat stuff?? Today I saw 4-5 police running across the road in front of where we were sitting, they "escorted" two guys down a side street. Not sure what they had done? If I had to guess I would say they were Algerian / N African. ...

... the guy in the phone shop...he was not very interested. Said "you should have asked for it when you got the sim". We decided to head back to the shop where we bought the sim. The girl there had no idea but was very helpful, she called someone and got the phone number for the iPad. She tried entering my credit card info...rejected. She tried another...rejected. We escaped over the border back to Spain for the day. Needless to say there is a lot of press about the school shootings in Toulouse, one dubbed him the scooter shooter. There was noticeably more activity by police in both France and Spain, in factt in San Seb (Spain) the local police were photographing various scooters parked in the CBD! I assume it is all related to a horrible crime
