... towards Sans. Turned out the station connecting us was huge. 20 mins to go and we were still figuring out the correct line that would get us to Sans. Eventually after running around various floors of the station we found the right one. 10 mins to go with 3 more stops. One at Sans we ran to our platform to realise we were 2 mins too ...

We felt privileged to have experienced this and having found the French a little difficult, a little arrogant, a little unhelpful, Le Barcares has completely restored our faith. The people here are warm and hospitable....this is a hidden gem and probably why we are reluctant to leave!

... Jewish synagogue and ritual bath that date back to the 12thC, a time before the Jews of Besalu were persecuted, ghettoized and eventually expelled. We were able to wander all around the town I impeded, as we were the only visitors around..not much going on there at this time of year, but lovely to see, nonetheless!
