... Lettuce, Cucumber, Green Peppers and Honey Mustard. The sandwich might as well have been shipped from the US, but I didn't care! After that I went to a local store to pick up a few souvenirs (including my own Spanish iPhone case!), and then after picking up a few more friends, we headed down to the beach! As cheesy as it may sound, today actually was in fact the most perfect day to go to the beach; it was sunny, warm, and there was no wind to carry the sand into our eyes. I got ...

... the entire conversation was in English, and she asked Laura for permission to leave that day. It was her birthday, and her husband had been sleeping in the hospital since the day she arrived (about two weeks--talk about a devoted husband), so she wanted to be able to experience the island and celebrate her day with him. Laura told her that since she had progressed so well, it would be fine for her to leave, and the woman was more than grateful to her for ...

... one area we were told the huge Russian development had only sold 10% of the units and let a further10% having 80% just standing idle. Several other sites had been built to varying levels and clearly stopped when the cash ran out leaving broken hearts and loosing thousands of euros for the unlucky investors. Such is the story of an economy reliant on tourism.

      Week3---WEEKEND---week4

A travel blog entry by btfreder on Jun 11, 2014

... fourth weekend! I got burned pretty badly on every part of my body, and I'm just now beginning to peel all that skin away, but it was so worth it. We only have one more weekend here before we all go our separate ways, so I'm really thankful that I got to have a great one with my friends. It's so crazy to think that two weeks from now, I won't even be here anymore! I'm dreading leaving the island, but I also can't wait to see my girlfriend and family again. Here's to an awesome weekend!
