Sad Day in Athens
... here begins the saga of the stolen phone. It's now November and I'm still without a phone. I've recovered from the initial trauma of the theft, but on that night I was a wreck. Crying and running to the nearest police station, they are not much help at all. I can't believe that I've lost 3,000 photographs, all of my notes and lists and potentially compromised the safety and security of my identity.

Visiting a big Greek wedding
... nice! The place offered different kind of sandwiches which then they put inside the oven to warm it. Finally our missing friends also arrived so we can go back to visit Acropolis. We would of like to but we couldn't...the place closed at 3 pm (!!) How nice on a Saturday. I don't want to put extra comment here about this, but you can feel what I could write here. Our First Full Day In Athens

Then we walked and walked and walked again. We visited the Archaeological Museum to see the famous statue of Posiden (or Zeus) - who knows, along with several statues of young kids called Kouros. A special exhibit was showing about the volcano eruptions on Satorini - I am sure we will learn more when we get to that part of the trip - and the treasures found off the Pelloponese when a ship sank with many artifacts from Rome.

arrived, and I seem to have run out of clean underwear. I wore one per day. We've
determined that the only reasonable explanation is that the cute Asian girl rooming with us
stole them to sell on the blackmarket in her home country. (They're like gnomes! Pilfered
