... wagging their tails and knocking into things. The town celebrated his centennial in 1999. A couple of the buildings we saw today may be about that old, not sure. Anyway it was a nice drive.

On the way back down, we saw some wild turkeys, some cows and horses, but no bear or deer. We were in the Lincoln National Forest and on the Mescalero Apache Reservation just about the whole time.

On returning to Ruidoso, we made ...

It rained all night! Guess that's what made sleeping better, even Bob since he didn't get up until after 5.

It's been cloudy and drizzly all day, so it was a good day to clean and do laundry. I guess I need to do the same thing once we return to our S&B house, esp since we're having company the middle of Oct and since our S&B house is much bigger than this one, it will take all that time!

Our country has such interesting stories, too bad I can't live long enough to visit and see all the very interesting places. After leaving Lincoln, we continued through the countryside to US 70 and back to Ruidoso. We arrived back "home" about 3 pm and relaxed for a bit. After dinner we went to Ronny & Linda's for "Attitude Adjustment Hour". It was while we were sitting outside that I got ...

It was another beautiful morning. Mostly clear skies and about low 60's when I got up, which was earlier than lately. Bob decided he wanted to go to Walmart early this morning, so off we went. It was 8am when we got there and unlike at home, bet there weren't 40 people in the store. We got a couple of things, but then tonight I remembered a couple of things I forgot, so guess we'll be going back in the next day or two. This ...
