... to mow the lawn with the riding mower today. Grandpa moved out a boundary for him and JJ cut it. He was happy as a clam out there and Grandpa was glad for the help. Seeing JJ mowing the lawn brought back memories of my childhood as I used the same mower when I was about his age. It is amazing that it is still running!

... some hot dogs and I had a Dr. Pepper and a Twin Bing candy bar too. JJ and JP sang Happy Birthday to me and all the kids made personalized cards.

Grandpa and I went out on the 4-wheeler to survey damage in the pastures and then piled everyone in his pickup to drive the roads and see the damage. It is still raining. The bridge in Taylor collapsed and several small dams have broken around the area. We are on high and dry ground here at the farm and are thankful. We won't be leaving until things dry out, however.
