... I have lots of good memories of him which I plan on focusing on. He had a big hearty laugh. When I came back and told marvin, he said lets walk up to line tree. We did and he took off his poppy and threw it into the ocean. We watched it float away as we remembered Uncle Angus. So far the weather is really cooperating with us, hope it lasts til Sunday. It sure is cold at night ...

On the bus ride back to the town of Rhodes, we stopped for a very nice buffet lunch, ...

... and a picture that was a bit too good of a close-up. The officer joked about it but he couldn't change it, darn it.

On our way to Lynden we saw several houses with an American flag waving in front, they must be really proud. We stopped there to visit the Dutch community, shop for souvenirs and have some food. I took the croquettes. Hell to the yeah, finally I ate kroketten and they were superb. We ...

... Victoria! We got our hire car. It's a Chevrolet Equinox and smaller than our last one with not as many bells and whistles! Andrew was not impressed. Found our way to the motel where we all crashed for a while. Andrew has caught a bug - hopefully the rest of us won't get it! After a rest we drove into town and walk around the harbour. Heaps of people around. Beautiful clear night. Got excited as we thought we found a Beavertails cart ...
