      We departed New Orleans, excited for the second last stage of our trek, a golf adventure, again with great friends. It included two one night stops at the bottom of The Alabama Robert Trent Jones Trail, followed by a two night stay at Club Intrawest in Sandestin, Florida.

      ... can use the sun's energy to make sugar which becomes food for the fungus. The fungus absorbs water and nutrients from the soil and air for the alga. Who knew -- totally fascinating! And as you can see from the last picture, Sassy and Odie are totally at home in our trailer -- we have two recliner chairs and they have each claimed one!       ... order Fresnel lens is still in use today, and is maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard as an active aid to navigation. We were also able to spend some time with one of Dan's nieces and her husband, Kim and Rob Carroll, who live near Pensacola in Pace, FL. A fantastic day, but we were both tired by the time we got back to our trailer -- guess we're not as young as we think!

      ... now staying. It's a small world! Today we drove into Destin to Home Depot for a water regulator gauge and a grill propane hose -- not especially fun, but necessary. Then on to Henderson Beach State Park to walk on the beautiful white sand beach -- got our 10,000 steps in and enjoyed every minute of it.
