we stayed for 3 nights at Cabinas Eddy. It is a very clean place, very helpfull staff to give you tipps & book your activities. It is located a 2 min walk from "downtown" santa elena, another point to absolutely recommend this place to be.

I had booked at another hotel in Santa Elena when I came across Cabinas Eddy on Trip Advisor. After reading all of the wonderful reviews, I decided to cancel my reservation at the other place (which was double the price) and book here instead. I certainly did not have any regrets.

Freddy, wow, what a nice man. After he checked us in, he offered us coffee and he sat down with us to go over a map of the area and recommendations for free hikes, places to eat or paid tours. The one on one interaction was great and we felt like he really cared that we had a good stay. Freddy and his staff work very hard and were always smiling and pleasant.

The private room was very cute and very comfortable. We had an upstairs room with a shared balcony and two large windows looking out. There was one comfortable double bed, and a chair to put our bags on. The bathroom was a little small, but had a great hot water shower. Great value for $30/night.

Breakfast was delicious. Freddy gives you a choice of a few things, but I would suggest you try his banana pineapple pancakes as they are to die for. Hands down the best breakfast that I had on my entire trip and it's included in the nightly rate. Once you're up in the morning Freddy will ask you if you want coffee or tea and then takes your breakfast order and makes it fresh for you. Wonderful service.

The location of the hotel is just down a hill from the main part of town which was great for low noise levels & access to restaurants. We felt very safe at all times walking around at night and found the locals & other toursists very friendly. Santa Elena was a great town to visit and we will be going back for a second visit and will definitely stay at Cabinas Eddy.
