Santa Elena/Monteverde are the highland cloud forest regions of Costa Rica famous for the ziplining craze which may (or may not) have started there. The evening was spent drinking wine before we took a taxi to a bar where one of zip-lining instructors from earlier in the day was performing a gig on his guitar. ... On the way you drive around the beautiful Lake Arenal. This part of Costa Rica is really beautiful. No signs of pollution here.At the far end of the lake is Arenal Volcano and just under neath is the town of La Fortuna. This is a Tourist town. Lots of adventure Activities and tours to do. I will spend a couple of days here.
