We got up early 6:15am, took our bags outside to organize so we wouldn't disturb the others. That's one thing that drives me crazy is someone diggning through their bags really early or really late. The plastic bags crinkling or the zippers.

We really wanted espresso coffee and we saw some shops. So, I stood waiting for our pickup and …

Another wonderful bus ride later...we arrived in Monteverde where we were immediately accosted by the friendly lovely owner of Cabinas Vista al Golfo and another owner, fortunately we knew Karoline was at Vista al Golfo so we headed there. So, after our boat ride up to nearly the Nicaragua border (we had to have our passports with us just in case).... We left La Fortuna by Jeep Boat Jeep the following day.

Jeep Boat Jeep is ineptly named, more like minivan, punt, minivan. Not so impressive but more true.

On the day, It was pouring with rain the entire time during …

I was recommended this hostel by another traveler. We showed up without a reservation and they only had a private room. $40usd and it had a kitchen, dining table, huge bed and a great view - when there weren't clouds. It was nice.

We stayed in a lovely room, fantastic value. The owners were really welcoming and friendly, always had time to chat. We went ziplining, which was incredible, arranged through the hostel.

The kitchen is nice, you have free breakfast, tea and coffee and wifi and internet.

    I'd really recommend staying here.
