... and Cristina had been making the most of the swimming pool and were very happy to receive cakes and ice cream :-) After a spot of clothes washing (chores still have to be done even when one is on holiday) we slowly made ourselves presentable and walked to the centre to enjoy a lovely traditional Chilean meal, broth of beef, broth of chicken, pastel de choclo and beef with puréed potatoes. We were joined in the morning by our 'Cowboys' or gauchos, Aldo and Luis who led the trek for days 2-4, carving ways through the forest and taking care of the horses before and after riding. ... top) the weather had changed so we didnt get the panoramic view but throughly enjoyed the half an hour descent sliding on bottoms. We also found an activity we had not yet crossed on our travels- hydrospeeding. Literally body boarding through rapids down a large Chilean river. We allowed our bodies to recover on our final activity day by bathing in some beautiful thermal pools.

We will meet again one day lake and river district...
