We just stumbled upon this lovely RV park next to the river. Very quiet and picturesque. You can fish in the lazy (when we were there) river, hike on their trails, or swim in their pool. The campground is about 10 min off of I-10 near Kerrville, which is also a nice little town.

Everybody's Somebody in Luckenbach We arrived in Kerrville, Texas on February 3rd and stayed for a week. While there, we also visited the towns of Fredericksburg, Stonewall and Luckenbach, which are only about 30 miles away. Kerrville is a large town compared to the others and sits on the banks of the Guadalupe River. It only has one Starbucks, …

We stayed in Deming, New Mexico the first night after leaving Tucson, then Van Horn, Texas the second night and a place called Sonora Caverns outside Sonora, Texas last night. That was a very nice place, …

Today was a day of travel, and we went from Carlsbad, N.M. to Kerrville, Tx.
We could spend several days here in the hill country of Texas, but we are trying to connect with a family member in Houston and are running short on time, so this may be next year's trip.

We found a great little campground that sits on the Guadeloupe River. …

We left Sara & Colum's this morning for the second half of our adventure. First major point of interest will be Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Traveling through west Texas was new territory for us. Enjoyed going through Fredericksburg - advertised as "Peach Country." It lived up to its name. After going through downtown, there were peach roadside stands everywhere. We finally stopped to buy some peaches for the ...
