Op woensdag 26 juni trokken we met onze zwarte Nissan (HEET HEET HEET) de heuvels van Texas in. Bekend om het groen en de wijn...van beide hebben we genoten. We zaten in een goedkoop hotel(keten) met een verrassend mooi uitzicht vanaf het balkon aan het meer.

... of the most amazing lightening storms I've see for a while and our screams could probably be heard for miles around when a lighting fork struck close to our house.

Despite all of these great activities, this stay will be remembered for our rain-off marathon game of Texasopoly. played over 3 days we clocked up about 12 hours of playing time, it came some to a close game between Col and Macca at the end and Col (the Mexican) came out on top.

We also learnt to dance ...

Bluebonnets and blue skies

... was one of the most beautiful sights I've seen. Standing on the ridge top looking over one of the many Hill country valleys you couldn't help but think that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were going to mosey on by at any time, tracked by the sheriff and his team of men up on the opposite ridge, all made all the more beautiful by the blue bluenbonnet tinge.

Sorry about the cheesy photos that follow but if you can't beat 'em joing 'em.
