We spent the morning in Charleston before heading up the coast to Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is okay but way overrated. It is a tourist trap. Folks with young kids would like the boardwalk but otherwise I could of done alright by driving right by. We spent the night in Shallote NC located just north of the South Carolina border. Sunset Beach in Shallotte was a nice find.
... took Baby Miles with all of us. I have never seen a baby so interested in the show. He was clapping and all eyes to what was going on. He sat in Great Granddaddy Nelsons lap and ate and watched the show like a grownup. We all enjoyed his company.

Spent entire day on beach at Mrytle Beach. Celebrating Baby Miles 1st birthday with family.
Lauren did an excellent job planning & organizing to get everyone together. She even made and decorated his 1st birthday cake.
Baby Miles got so caught up in the event at the beach. He had to take a nap before the festivities ...
... the lap poor and did a few laps and laid on the big donut...relaxing, with all the other little kids. Back to the hotel room watch TV for a while...then we went out for dinner, best meal here so far at Captain Benjamin's Calabash Seafood, we had to buffet over 170 different items to pick from....all you can eat....oops that can be dangerous but we mostly just stuck to giant Alaska Crab legs....and of course desert.... Superb ...
... was passed to each of us and Chris and I had the crazy bitey monkey around our necks. The man told Chris to hold his belly...Chris was pretty sure it did not want its belly held but he followed orders. Marc got to feed the tiger a bottle presumably so it would be drinking that and not bethinking about eating us or the monkey.
This was all over in what seemed like 30 seconds. This was a smooth operation. And as the cherry on top we decided to buy the CD ...
