We arrived in Branson on Thursday and it was hot. On Friday they had the hottest day ever recorded here... 108. We drove around in the car and checked out the town. There is a lot to do and see but other than the shows, most of the fun stuff is outdoors and it is just to hot to be outside. We are thinking of leaving early if we can find cooler …

We had such a wonderful time with our son Mac visiting Nashville. We took him to see some civil war sites, we honkey-tonked on Broadway, did a little shopping and scrolled down Music Row where all the major record producers are housed like BMI, RCA, Curb and Warner Brothers. Mac and Ken enjoyed a night out hitting some of the hotter music venues …

... games. We then drove to the "Historic District". Beautiful scenery surrounded the White River but the 'historic' part left a lot to be desired. It was really an outdoor strip mall with many contemporary stores. Steve and the kids enjoyed go-karting to end the evening. We are at Susie's and will be staying here until next week and we have decided to go to Death Valley next week. We have never been there and the weather is pretty decent this time of year.
