... br> We had one other falls in mind, but this one was a couple hours drive from the gorge: Abiqua Falls. It’s not in a state or national park, so while at the long lunch, D had googled the coordinates for it (I had also written down rough directions in my pre-planning for the trip). We entered those to our GPS, and off we went. The Navigation said we’d be there at about 6pm. First problem we encountered was getting to the ...

Grandma and Mom dropped ******** at the last VBS. They picked me up and we went to the mall to get me new sneakers and Jack new flip-flops. We picked up Jack, and went home. We ate lunch and I went to the museum to carve more. I did so until the evening, when we went over to Rich and Twila's for supper with the family. Kyler was home from camp, and Leila was down from Washington. It was really nice to see everybody ...

Back to work after Spring Break and a full week of walking - I've done nothing other than go to work. I thought walking was tiring! Going back to a class full of sixth graders after a break is exhausting!!! It was one of the longest weeks ever...So no training has happened all week. I'm hoping to get out late this afternoon for a walk, but the weather has turned cool and wet!

I am SOOO glad I am practicing before I go. I can't imagine how miserable I would be in the Scottish highlands with aching feet and a grumpy mood. By the time I go I should be able to walk 15 miles in a day without much ado about it. I think I will stay at 7 miles for the next couple of weeks, then add my pack and see how that goes.

... and nothing looked familiar. I knew she worked part time at the library so asked directions to it and a guy told me to turn left and follow his directions -- Well, nothing there and after some more driving around in streets were running in water I stopped and asked another person and found that I should have gone right first and then it was easy. Talked to a nice gal at library and I asked her if she could call Willow (I assumed she would not give out ...
