... we had left off while slackpacking. Aside from an initial steep climb, it was a great hike in beautiful weather. It was almost constantly uphill, but at a very gentle slope that let me do the entire 13 miles with only one couple minute break. Woke up to another dreary day but it was warm. Biggest climb of the day was Blood Mountain. It went up about 1,000 feet but it wasn't too terrible going up, but going down was a different story. Spent Thanksgiving here. On Thanksgiving day we ate a buffet at Western Sizzler with 18 workers etc. from the campground, then on saturday the campground provided turkeys and everyone brought covered dishes and we all ate at the clubhouse.
