      ... ferries left, is Piraeus. I believed I had a fall back position of water taxi should there be a ferry problem. In my defence, I twice sent emails to the hotel asking for the recommended ferry and received no reply to either. So, after paying 35 Euros each for our 6 checked suitcases on Aegean Airlines, we made the short flight without incident.       ... a hill over 700 feet high. The ambitious can climb 850 to 1000 steps to reach it, (stories vary), but didn't count because we took the bus! It was built by the Venetians during the late 17th Century. Naturally it has a magnificent view of the city and the harbour.
