    ... Our stateroom was small, very clean, comfortable for 2!!

    Beautiful sunset ad we left and the sea was smooth - lovely looking at the northern stars again. Rob will have then worked out before we leave Alaska.

    The highlight of our first night was seeing the Northern Lights - wow

    Great weather, cool but dry and flat seas.

    ... to find that there was a "planned power outage" for the rest of the day. I hadn't done my hair, so that was a time need to try using a blow dryer or curling iron. Of course the rooms were quite dark and there was no wifi. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a walk around, and again Sabrina was able to get in some much enjoyed swimming time. It was here that I discovered a ferry .. that is 1 ferry per day .. does indeed come to Skala Beach, but it arrives ...

Even those with jobs have to put up with unfair working conditions because if they quit, there is nowhere else to go and the job will be snapped up instantly.
