Maine it is. Lots of Moose Xing signs, but so far the only moose we see hangs on the front of our truck, a little brass one. the folks in our CG said they saw one (real) recently while hunting for partridges, so we will be vigilant. Today we traveled onto Greenville, the hub for the Moosehead Lake area. A surprisingly large town for such a remote area. We took a nice one hour ride on the refurbished lake steamer, the Kathadin. ... especially at our campground. we saw christmas decorations on some of the sites here and i at first was pretty judgemental and laughed and thought the whole thing was tacky, but than i read about christmas in july. even the camp hosts are putting up decorations! what a hoot. now, i think it's pretty fun!! we love it here and hate to leave, but we have been waiting two months to get to the coast. so, here we go!

So we woke up to fog that could be cut with a knife but away we go on our moose hunt. Out in the early morning to see what we can find.Down backroads, around the boughs, no moose. I did find some more nice waterfalls, but you are probably all tired of my views of my waterfalls. Back to the Behemouth and some breakfast.

This was an eventful day. We needed to stop along the way for a camper repair. That always takes more time than needed. Of course a cmaping store is like the candy store so we needed to buy a couple of things.
