Great little campsite. Stayed there in May 09, camp site staff we encountered were all young students who were really nice. There was a little shop that sold snacks and various items too which was useful if a little expensive. We got there around sunset so we didn't get a chance to fully appreciate the scale of the trees until morning, when we got out of our tent as were nearly bowled over at what we saw.

Great for families and solo/small group travellers either passing through or wanting to stay n explore the area. Nearby Pfeiffer Beach is a gem too, if you can find it. Bring money for the carpark, a few bucks should suffice

... galleries, or craft shops selling pieces that were so individual and hand made. What was quite peculiar was that sat outside most of the little shops were life sized straw people or "guys" completely dressed in various garments and each with painted faces, we guessed in readiness for Halloween - although a still long time away. After our meander around Cambria, and getting a few more supplies, we then headed up the coast towards Hearst Castle. For those of you ...

... at the others by thirty to fifty dollars a night. It has water, sewer and electricity but no cable and the wifi is iffy. We are across from a military golf course and, we’ve since discovered, somewhere near an airport. Fortunately, planes don’t come often because they certainly do fly low!

We had some lunch, took care of some RV stuff and still had a couple of hours of daylight so we decided to go exploring. It will probably rain the entire time we are ...
