We could see the water being pumped out with the bilge pump in the back, and after a few more tense minutes, Dad said it looked like his plug had fallen out. This wasn't good. ... lost them. Within minutes, I had a very nice tug, and could tell this catch was not a pan fish. Tom got the net and landed my first (and probably last) walleye of the year. It was a nice-sized one too (17 inches), and a great way to end our morning.

We all slept in today and spent the morning just relaxing in the cabin as the weather was a bit cool and too windy for fishing. Around noon we decided to "do the Walker" thing...Walker, Minnesota, that is. ... biking, reading, running, swimming, paddle boating, and game playing. We had a Santa Fe chicken dish for supper, and then Tom & Linda headed back out for more fishing. We were able to haul in another 6 perch, bringing our total for the day up to 19 perch. These will make a great fish dinner tomorrow night!
