    ... missing some key things, like a board for cutting and a knife so we bought them at Walmart. We needed forks to eat the bagged salad, but couldn't be bothered to get the BBQ out to get them since all the plates and utensils are stored in that bag...so we tried to eat with a plastic spoon and Ron's pen knife...not an easy task...finally we opted to just stuff the salad into pita bread and eat that way...     ... our way home. It was okay, but nothing spectacular. The girls went swimming with their cousins for the last time, and then played some games. They rounded out the evening with one last campfire.

    And so...Cass Lake 2014 comes to an end. Here are the stats for the year to wrap things up:

    At Dick's, Dad was able to get an old boat plug, but unfortunately, it didn't fit. By then he had figured out that the water got "sucked" out of the boat while he was moving, and started refilling when he sat still.     ... my hook and saw a loon--it was less than 20 feet from the boat! And it sang its little loon song. Yep...it was one of those kind of days.

    The afternoon was relaxing for most of us. Chloe & Maddie were enjoying making bracelets on Chloe's rainbow loom. Several of us were reading. Poor Tom had to filet 30 fish, so that took up a good chunk of his afternoon. But he was still able to get some reading in before ...
