Where stable moist air flows over a mountain or a range of mountains, a series of large-scale standing waves may form on the downwind side. If the temperature at the crest of the wave drops to the dew point, moisture in the air may condense to form lenticular clouds. A couple of them have been observed today. Lenticular clouds have been mistaken for UFO's. I know what you are thinking. No, I do not believe in UFO's.

I was 107F when I arrived and now, 2 days later, its 111F. Too hot for comfort. The only comfortable time to go outside is early in the morning or in the evening. Thankfully it does cool down at night to a more comfortable 85F and because there is very low humidity it feels fine.

Well the next time I write to you all I will have finished finals! Wish me luck, I am starting to get nervous about a couple of big projects/assignments. But I keep reminding myself that I have survived this season five times before and did just fine. Tell everyone I say hello and hope all is well.
