    This was my first backpacking trip, and I honestly didn't prepare as well as I could have.     We spent a relaxing day at Half Moon Bay. First we took a bike ride along the Coastal trail. After lunch in town, we visited Mavericks, the site of some of the biggest waves in the winter, although they were very small now.     ... Sarah took me back to her office where she was able to give me a slower explanation of what had just taken place. She showed me around the office, introducing me to unfamiliar faces and gave me a tour of the training labs. During our lunch break, Aunt Jess and I stopped by a small cafe for soup and salad.
