A top place to stay when in this area. Reception was friendly and very helpful as was John who takes you around in his buggy and shows you the available sites and you choose which one you want. He will then guide you into the site if you need assistance. This park has had a makeover since our last visit and is a pretty picture of tropical trees and plants. Amenities near the rear of the park are En-suite style and very nice indeed. My only concern is the number of very tall trees around the sites that I consider are a hazard. There really is no need to allow trees to grow any taller than around 5 metres. A lot of the sites are bit on the tight side and usually no room for your car on the site.

We were put right in front of the water splash park. It runs on a 5 minute timer but it has water guns, a big bucket that tips out 10 litres of water every minute.

The front, older part of the park provides lots of cool shade under palm and other trees. Checking service was good. There are a range of transport option available to different activities, such as Casino, Mindil market, etc. You can wash your vehicles at your site which was a must in my case

A lovely park with great staff, always willing to help. It is very busy but that is to be expected as it is the height of the tourist season and school holidays. The only problem is down the back of the park the ammenities block is made up of individual ensuite style toilet and showers which are lovely and clean and great to have a shower in however always full and a pain when you just want to go to the toilet. Lots of lush gardens and trees, the gumnuts falling on the van during the night is a bit noisy.

Nice and shady with 2 pools. Amenities reasonable. Not so good when it rains! 800m to village; ten minutes to Palmerston. Being south of the city (30km) you are already on your way to many attractions.

We used our noodles and floated down the river from the waterfall end to the narrow part and into the main pool at the bottom. The sun was shining, the water clear as anything you could see …

We headed to Katherine from Kununurra on 20 July for an overnight stop before continuing to Darwin. We really enjoyed Kununurra and we would visit the region again in the future. The Victoria Highway wasn't as smooth as we have enjoyed in WA, but the scenery was very beautiful with various gorges and ranges waiting at every turn.
