Day 41 - Monday
Aj jumped out of bed quite suddenly this morning and all I heard was his special 4letter word as he opened the fridge, Still slightly asleep I asked what was wrong and he told me that he had forgotten to get a bottle of Champagne out of the freezer last night!! Oh dear that could only mean one thing, Champagne Explosion!!!!
Upon opening …
Day 42 - Tuesday
Today was a day to stay at home and give the kids a chance to have some fun out of the car.
We opened the box for the new truck and let the two boys go for it happily as they each had one for a change. Yesterday we also purchased a blow up pool for the kids to play in and it was a huge success, especially in the Darwin heat. Mind you, it …
Day 43 - Wednesday
It was our exploration day today, so we packed the kids back into the car to go and check out the sights to see Darwin and see what the City has to offer. Our first destination was the waterfront and Fannie Bay where the war museum is located along with some of the old bunkers and bomb shelters.
We also went down to Cullen Bay for a look …
Day 44 - Thursday
Another quiet day today as the car was getting some stuff done to it so Aj was away for quite a few hours. The boys and I just hung in the van enjoying the aircon. We even managed to make a cake in the good old convection oven.
When Aj came home we sat down and tried to plan the rest of our trip and work out which way we were going to go …
Day 20 - Mount Bundy Station to Darwin
Well folks we've made it!! 20 days and lots of sites along the way but we have finally arrived at Darwin. I started my day today the same as yesterday, sun rising over the paddocks, wallabies boxing on to work out who's boss and our resident buffalo grazing. Nothing much changes up here. Each day the sky is a brilliant blue and the weather is warm …

Loved all the kids play areas, hubby especially loved that you had squash courts, fantastic!

A lovely park with great staff, always willing to help. It is very busy but that is to be expected as it is the height of the tourist season and school holidays. The only problem is down the back of the park the ammenities block is made up of individual ensuite style toilet and showers which are lovely and clean and great to have a shower in however always full and a pain when you just want to go to the toilet. Lots of lush gardens and trees, the gumnuts falling on the van during the night is a bit noisy.

we were greeted by very friendly staff who had us sorted in no time. rate is $39/n/2A less big 4 discount for members. staff are very helpful amenities are clean and there are plenty of them. sites are roomy, some have slabs some are grass. The park is peaceful at night and guests are all a friendly bunch. secure entry and exit. we would come back here again.

Nice and shady with 2 pools. Amenities reasonable. Not so good when it rains! 800m to village; ten minutes to Palmerston. Being south of the city (30km) you are already on your way to many attractions.
