The morning started with Jim taking the truck to have the oil change and a checkup. There are no problems, just routine check.

In the afternoon, we went to Rock City. It's advertised all over Western North Carolina often on the sides of old barns—"See Rock City". Now there are little red barns with ad painted in white letters. So, …

What a beautiful day we're having. The skies are blue. The sun is shining. We have great day for looking at vistas from the mountain tops.

We begin our day by riding the Incline Railway up the side of Lookout Mountain. It’s a good ride with a good view of the city below. The maximum incline at the top of the mountain is 72 from the …

    Chickamauga is one …

But the traffic is terrible and the 1 hour drive took us 1.5 hours. We heard on the news that there was a bad wreck on I-75. By the time we got there, the wreck was gone, but the traffic was still stop-and-roll …

    Travel Day to Chattanooga

A travel blog entry by travelagain on Apr 28, 2015

What a long day! We drove about 6.5 hours and the last 1 hours were in stop and roll traffic through Chattanooga. The city is the confluence of 3 interstates going in 6 directions and all travel the same 6 lane stretch for about 5-6 miles beside the Tennessee River. And traffic was bad on all of the 3 interstates today. Wow, were we glad to find …
