We landed in Fairbanks at 4pm so as you can see I actually flew for 10 hours and was in transit for 1.5 hours so in Alaskan time it was actually only 8 hours later so I gained 4 hours and arrived in the afternoon instead of late at night which was good.

We continued driving to our campground in Fairbanks. It was pretty late when we got in but it was still completely light outside. There are people outside everywhere - kids riding bikes, people taking walks... it's very different having it light all night long! (it gets a bit like dusk around 2am) Everyone is pretty tired since we don't get much sleep but it's great having so much daylight. We get to see so much!
