        Beautiful but crowded

Bella Pacifica is located in a beautiful setting on the Pacific Ocean in Tofino. The campground is large with many different types of sites. We were located in the Seaview Terrace and had a partial view of the sea between the trees and campers. The sites are quite close together with no privacy. We were able to back into our site so we could see the sea but that meant our hookups were on the wrong side. We made ti work with a long electrical cord and filling the water manually directly into the tank. For the sewer we emptied into our neighbors portal when they were out. There is easy access to the beach and a beautiful location. We had our bikes and were able to ride to town easily. If returning to the area I would try to stay at Crystal Cove if they had a site large enough for our 38foot rig. They stated they didn't but I am sure we could fit in a few of their sites.

Today we worked our was south visiting a number of beaches along the way. It was a no rush just wander kind of day. We spent quite a bit of time on Long Beach watching the surfers and checking out the jelly fish and other marine life along the water edge. The Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre was tired but worth visiting. It would be a good place to …

Today as heavily overcast again so we unloaded the bikes and used the paved cycle path to travel into Tofino. It is a fairly quiet place this time of year. We left our bikes at a downtown cycle rack and walked up the hill to find an access to the Tonquin trail. We later discovered that there was an access closer to camp but then we wouldn't have …

The Sproat Lake campground was a great stop. It has been newly refurbished with fences and landscaping between sites. I loved the walkway along the shore. Even so we made an early morning start for Tofino.

We have heard many horror stories about this road across the island but we were pleasantly surprised! I think the pavement has been …
