Up early for our Journey across the Island was the start to Day 4. The drive for the day held many winding mountain roads ahead and a long day on the road. We started the day with a breakfast scramble of those golden yolked eggs with Lepp Farm made sausage. Having a washer and dryer travellng with you is a big convenience of which we take advantage …

I was asleep before 9.00pm last night, so when the alarm went off at 7.00am this morning it wasn't as hard for me to get up as it was for Peter. We quickly changed, grabbed a map and some snacks and jumped in the car for the long drive to Torfino.

One of the best things about coming to Tofino is the road getting here. After leaving Nanaimo we soon turned West on highway # 4 heading towards Port Alberni. This town of some 30,000 lies deep in the heart of Vancouver Island at the end of a fiord coming in out of Barkley sound so far in that it almost cuts the island in half. From here on the ...Tofino, British Columbia, Canada crossroadcanada

TravelPod Member ReviewsBella Pacifica Tofino
Bella Pacifica is located in a beautiful setting on the Pacific Ocean in Tofino. The campground is large with many different types of sites. We were located in the Seaview Terrace and had a partial view of the sea between the trees and campers. The sites are quite close together with no privacy. We were able to back into our site so we could see the sea but that meant our hookups were on the wrong side. We made ti work with a long electrical cord and filling the water manually directly into the tank. For the sewer we emptied into our neighbors portal when they were out. There is easy access to the beach and a beautiful location. We had our bikes and were able to ride to town easily. If returning to the area I would try to stay at Crystal Cove if they had a site large enough for our 38foot rig. They stated they didn't but I am sure we could fit in a few of their sites.
